Tea tree oil is a common name for what has been called Melaleuca oil. It is found exclusively on one coast of Australia, It has been taken from the leaves of melaleuca alternifolia, and has been confused in the past with tea oil, which is commonly known as green tea, white tea, black tea, or camellia sinesis. When you use this, it is one of the rarer acne treatments.

History of Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil was traditionally used by the indigenous Bundjalang people of Australia. They used it as a traditional medicine inhaled to treat coughs and colds. It was used as part of treatments used to treat sore throats and skin ailments, and its antimicrobial benefits were first published in the 1920’s and 1930’s. It was at that time rated as 11 times more effective than phenol. Since then, it has been tested in multiple studies for its effects in fighting acne, dandruff, and a number of other potentially serious problems.

Uses Of Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has been used mainly for its antiseptic properties in Australia. However, it has been scientifically studied and proven to have quite a few different effects. When you use tea tree oil, you will find that it can be used to fight bacteria, scabies, viruses, fungal infections, mites, lice, and many other infections. It has specifically used against the bacteria known as staphylococcus aureus and MRSA when used in 10% concentrations. It has also been used for shingles, and when used in 5% concentrations, it can be used to fight acne.

Studies On Tea Tree Oil
A number of years ago, tea tree oil was studied and shown to promote certain benefits and results. When you use tea tree oil, you will find that it has been used to treat things like head lice obviously. But one specific study conducted on tea tree oil and benzoyl peroxide showed that in a 5% concentration, they promoted the same grade of acne fighting benefits. The difference was that tea tree oil did not cause major side effects.

The Cost Of Tea Tree Oil
You might be surprised to know that some tea tree oil based acne treatments are more affordable than benzoyl peroxide products! Tea tree oil does actually cost manufacturers more. But its name is not as big. When using organic tea tree oil, you should be able to actually expect a lower price despite its higher quality than most other products.

Sometimes I would swear that it’s guys that create more acne and cause girls to age faster. I mean think about it, guys don’t age quite as fast as us. They have scientific explanations, but I think they’re fake. And quite frankly speaking, when do you have the worst breakouts and sudden problems, right before prom in high school, right before dates, etc. You get the basic idea. But that being said, it is times of stress realistically speaking that often cause acne breakouts or rather contribute to them.

During times of stress, you produce more oil naturally speaking, and this catches more bacteria, leading to blackheads, and ultimately it leads to breakouts and acne. So whether it’s other people or work or anything else that happens to stress you out, that is what is going to lead to sudden breakouts that seem harder to control than your everyday acne. If you are using a really good one, then basically peaking, you may avoid these all together. But it has to be one that can take preventative measures and otherwise prepare your skin for those high impact times. Otherwise, regardless of your current status and otherwise, then you will be able to avoid various problems.

Ice pick acne scarring can be quite obtrusive and damaging in general. They are some of the hardest to treat, because they have a small and narrow appearance. However, they burrow deep into the skin, which is what makes them so hard to treat in so many ways. They come with more invasive types of acne outside of acne vulgaris that are also harder to stop and treat, and frankly there are only a few treatment options.

The first is basically for your dermatologist or doctor to cut them out. This can leave scars of its own, which hopefully you use the right treatments to help them heal and avoid these as much as possible.

Second, there is dermabrasion where they basically sweep away several layers of your skin.

And finally, there is laser treatment. Laser treatment is supposed to basically stimulate the growth of new cells within the skin. All of these treatments are extremely expensive and they are not options to be considered lightly. But then again, many with ice pick scarring obviously consider it to be worth it. After all, who really wants to have permanent and some would say disfiguring scarring for the rest of their lives? Certainly not anybody I know right now.

The importance of drinking water every day is often overlooked, especially with so many other things out there to drink. We are bombarded with soda ads, coffee shops, flavored drinks, and countless other beverages. Many people go weeks without a single glass or bottle of water!

If your tap water doesn’t taste good, you can install a filter. Drinking water doesn’t have to be expensive; once you buy a filter you can put it in an empty bottle and carry it around with you.

Water is necessary to keep your body hydrated and healthy, and there is no good reason not to drink several glasses a day. You can still drink other things, but you should drink beverages to stay hydrated. If you need some flavor, add a lemon wedge. Sodas and juices often have a lot of sugar added and really aren’t healthy for you. You can save money and make healthier decisions about beverages by remembering to drink plenty of water, not to mention potentially cutting hundreds of calories out of your diet easily. Get ice water at restaurants rather than soda. Carry a water bottle to work with you to avoid stopping at the soda machine or buying expensive, high calorie flavored coffee drinks.
