Now I tried Proactiv as a teenager, late teens actually about 18, because my sister bought it for me for Christmas, great present right. Merry Christmas, guess what your acne is that bad. But that being said, she really didn’t mean it that way, it just was what it was. But I used it for a few months, because she decided she was going to do an auto ship for 6 months and then if I wanted to keep it up after that, I would switch the account over to my name, which was without question fair enough.
I tried it for those 6 months, which is obviously more than enough time to really assess things. I think I saw my acne go down by about 25% measurably speaking. That’s not that much, and that 25% was slow coming to say the least. I had bouts when it got worse, and even though it was in college, I still did pretty well, I was pretty regular about it, it still didn’t make any difference. So I decided to go off it. When I did this, it was about a week before all of the sudden I had a huge breakout unlike I had ever seen before. Now this might make some think that it was keeping it at bay all along, but after about a month of just using bar soap, it eventually went back down. So frankly, it’s just the way benzoyl peroxide works. This is all unfortunately, but real.
